Anti Gay Protest in Haiti

According to news reports, the protesters were a mix of religious groups who came out after rumors spread that a Haitian gay rights group plans to submit a proposal to allow same sex marriage.

Homosexuality is not something that is openly accepted in Haitian society. Many, if not most, of the Homosexuals in Haiti are in the closet.

But why though?

Homosexuals are just like everybody, just because someone choose to marry someone from their own gender, that doesn't make them lesser in any shape or form...I truly don't understand
