Most Haitians care more about their foods tasting really good than how healthy the food is. That makes me think: Stroke and Hypertension (high blood pressure) in the Haitian community, are they linked to all that extra salt in the way we cook?

Haitians are quick to tell you "I am not a zombie, put more salt in my food" but is it that same salt that is turning many older Haitians into zombies.

Stroke and Hypertension is a problem in Haiti and in the Haitian Diaspora. Too much salt in our diet may be the culprit.

Karine Jean-Pierre, first black woman US White House Press Secretary

Born of Haitian parents in Martinique, Karine Jean-Pierre will make history has the first black White House press secretary of the United States. Karine Jean-Pierre will assume office on May 13th 2022.

Both of Karine Jean-Pierre's parents Haitian. They gave birth to her in Martinique and raised her in New York City. Her mother worked as a home health aide, and her father was a cab driver.

Karine Jean-Pierre has been White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary since 2021. She served as the chief of staff for Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris during the 2020 presidential campaign, becoming the first black woman to hold that position.

Radio Caraibes journalist Robert Celine AKA Bob C. is advising Haitians in the diaspora not to come to Haiti right now because of insecurities that is ravaging the country and causing the lives of just about anybody.

Bob C. spoke about a young Haitian man from diaspora who wanted to spend his birthday in Haiti recently who was just been killed by the bullets of armed gangs in the Artibonite region of Haiti.

One day after his report, Haiti radio news reported another young diaspora woman, native of Lascahobas, Centre department of Haiti, who was either kidnapped or murdered.

So when you gather enough guts to get up and go for it, to do something you truly believe will workout in your best interest, it is like the poppy-seeds syndrome; they chop your head off so that you stay in line, so that you stay at the same level as the rest of us.

Haitian-Japanese tennis champion Naomi Osaka just purchased a house in Bervelly Hills California for a whopping $6.91 million.

According to TMZ, Osaka made the purchase back in early August in an off-market deal from singer Nick Jonas.

Naomi Osaka's new home is 4,129 square feet, it has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. it is located high in the mountains above Beverly Hills, California, in a semi-remote corner of the Los Angeles neighborhood known as Beverly Hills Post Office.

Port-au-Prince, Peyi Lock Haiti, September 30th, 2019 -- I was laying down on my bed, I looked out the window and noticed that the sky was completely grey. Now, this is interesting because just a minute ago the sky was blue and clear.

So I decided to go out to the balcony and take a look for myself. What I found out, to my surprise, was that the city seemed to be entirely up in smoke.

To my right, all I see is black smoke rising from the streets beyond the trees. The sky was barely visible towards the right.
