My name is Lionel Vernet and I live in the beautiful city of Smyrna in the State of Georgia.

I am an Haitian-American.

I am aware of the stubborness of many Haitians when it comes to give Haiti a chance as to allow a developed and civilized country like the USA or Canada to be in charge of Haiti until the People get to acquaint themselves with democracy.

These words I have expressed in 1999 while traveling with some friends by car to Cap-Haitian.

I still believe Haitians are not mature enough to make Haiti what it should have been many years ago. Listen Folks, Haiti 1804 was right.

October 17, 1806 was wrong.

There comes the Haiti Dilema.

We need strong leadership in Haiti.

We don't need no government to negociate with bandits while innocent people are beeing raped, tortured, and killed.

Haiti government system is too corrupted.

We need change.

We won't get it with these Haitians ruling Port-au-prince right now. I could not agree more with my compatriotes of Les Cayes.
