MTV, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central are all part of MTV Networks (MTVN).
MTVN has a very young and captive audience, including the young Haitian Americans gowing up here in the United States.
So... When MTVN broadcasts a message about Haiti, it resonates in the ears of the younger generation, Haiti's younger diaspora generation as well.
When MTV broadcasted the a few days after earthquake devastation, it had a really big impact on the island nation.
