Earthquake - Young Haitian doctors fresh out of medical school brave the dangers to help their brothers and sisters in south Haiti

This is the story of five brave young Haitian doctors and a physical therapist, all in their 20s, who pooled their money, bought bandages, antiseptic, gauze and medication, crossed the dangerous frontier of gang infested Martissan to go and help the earthquake victims in South Haiti.

Doctors Timothee Jean-Jacques, Wonston Raphael, Ruben Misaac Pierre, Stanley Ettenne, Medgina Felix and Physical Therapist Rose-Milord Celestin recently graduated from the publicly-funded State University of Haiti (L'Université d'État d'Haiti - UEH). They used their own money to buy medicals supplies and transported themselves and the supplies to Marceline, one of the hardest-hit communities closest to Camp-Perrin, to help out the victims of the earthquake.

They borrowed a used tent. All day long it is a makeshift hospital where the heal wounds and assist the people with all the medical help they can. At night the used tent becomes their home where they spend the night.

These young Haitian doctors plan to stay in Marceline until they either run out of patients to heal or the run out of medical supplies.
