Haiti : The Red Pill vs. The Blue Pill

Haiti : The Red Pill vs. The Blue Pill

My fellow Haitians, this is your last chance! After this there is no turning back!

You take the BLUE pill, and you will accept things just the way they are, Haiti will remain the way it is (se konsa bagay yo ye) Haiti will never change (Ayiti pap janm chanje) AND your life will never change!

You take the RED pill and you wake up, you challenge the status quo, and you begin demand more from the Haitian authorities because you know you deserve more, you deserve a better country, a better standard of living and a better quality of life.

Which will you chose?

LOOK: The most amazing photo from a Haiti street protest you just have to see to believe

LOOK: The most amazing photo from a Haiti street protest you just have to see to believe

If there is one image of a Haiti street protest worth sharing, this one certainly is the one... Look at this amazing photo from the October 17 2018 Haiti street protest you probably haven't seen yet! You have to see it to believe it.

The media, national and international, often show you pictures of Haitian street protesters confronting the Haitian National Police men and women, tear gas thrown, and the policemen, overwhelms by their duty to serve and protect who often result to a little confrontation with the protesters but how often do you see this?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. How much is this one worth?

Thank you, Dyab Baba, for bring this to my attention.

Look at the FEAR in the eyes of this Haitian woman during a Street Protest in Haiti

Look at the FEAR in the eyes of this Haitian woman during a Street Protest in Haiti

They say a picture is worth a thousand words... Look at the FEAR in the eyes of this poor Haitian woman during a street protest, captured by the lens of a photographer for Le Nouvelliste during the October 17 2018 street protests.

For those of you who are not used to the reality of Haiti, this obviously poor Haitian woman tucked herself under a 'bak machan', a table like wooden structure used by street vendors in Haiti. She is clearly afraid of something.

She fears for her life!

Read what Haitians on social media though when whey saw this picture:

Alain Dorsainvil: Foto sa fè kè m dechire... Se te ka manman m ki nan pozisyon sa. Malgre tout risk, pwodyab li pran lari kan menm pou chèche lavi (This has made my heart tremble ... My mom could have been in that position. Despite all the risks, poor soul, she out in the streets trying to make ends meet)

Béa Pier Béo L: Podiab mizè nan kòl epi yap teworizel. (Poor thing, she is already in her misery and they are terrorizing her on top of it)

Genise Azor: On est fatigué... on en a assez... (We're tired... We've had enough!)

Dayala Jeanbaptiste: Gade yon peur nan yeux li c'est triste (Look at the fear in her eyes, this is sad!)
