There are some things about Haiti that just gets on my nerves, somethings that, as a Haitian, I hate to talk about. And when I do, this picture is the the only thing that can really describe my state of mind.

This is what all Haitian holidays have become lately, including Christmas and New Year: a day of protest, manifestation and revolution. One Haitian asks on social media: Are Haitian Politicians being paid to destroy our National Holidays?

While Haitian politicians are continuously fighting to take control of a country that's had enough of them, the Dominican Republic, which shares an island with Haiti, is being sold to American retirees as one of the best countries to retire in their golden years.
