You were asking on what ground do we pray to Saints?

Let me give you a simple example: Why do you think people wonder, ask, inquire about Donald Trump and all the rich people who "made it" financially.

They want to follow their path to see what they did in order to reach a similar or closely related situation.

Same thing for the Saints: They have walked the path before us, have pleased God in more ways than one and can intercede on our behalf.

If anyone wants to talk to them to find out what they did to get there, it is still ok in my book. Nothing wrong with that.
I personnaly chose to talk to God directly.

It's only my choice.

I was born Catholic and I will stay that way no matter what the other religions might suggest.
