De ran dlo, de ran larim

< Previous | Home | Next >

I was just reading the article you wrote about "de ran dlo, de ran larim" and it just suddenly struck me at how many time we, haitians, have rejected our own and cattegorize ourselves as a different crowd.

This experience Woodring went through was just one of many that all of us have been victim of but we were too bling to actually see the deep meaning of our vision.

All over Port-au- Prince, i have seen this kind of image and yet, i was only able to attach a meaning to it when someone else shared its thoughts on what it has discovered.

I guess that we prefer to blind ourselves when it comes to the reality of our country and we make OUR LIVES easier to only worry about our own sake.
