I agree wit you. Our Christmas in Haiti is always celebrated on December 24th when turkeys and bouillon plus chocolate are on the table of almost everyone's table.

Even the ones who are in a difficult economic situation.

Everything or almost is permitted to the kids on this specific night.

You can come back home drunk without being scared of any punishment because it's fine for our parents.

It's the day you can be with your girlfriend or boyfriend for the entire night pretending that we were assisting the midnight church ceremony (messe minuit).

I enjoyed some good Christmas eve nights over there.
