Actually 2000 pesos is less than 50 us
Is 45 us and she paid that coz she s not a resident in dominican republic if she was it will be 50% off. Is a shame what happen in Haiti.
No insurrance no cover.
I m leaving in DR and the insurance i have at work able me to add my mom who s living in Haiti on it. In DR is mandatory when u re working to have in insurrance.
For the basic insurance they charge only 3 % of ur salary and that cover 80% whenever u go to the hospital.
If u want more coverage u paid a little bit more and u can even have medicine covered.
I had an accident 2 years ago in DR. I spent 20 days at a private hospital with my own bedroom.
When they brought me the bill it was over 300 000 pesos that s around 7000 us. I have 2 insurrance i call the basic insurrance the one they gave me at work and they difference i had to pay was 500 pesos.
That was just 12 us dollars i had to pay. My 2 surgery and medicine at the hospital was covered.
Is really sad to see how many people died after accident in Haiti just because they can t afford the high cost at the hospital no insurrance no plan no nothing
