Lest's not misunderstand The appellation "papa" does not mean Dessalines is regarded as a divinity.

Since the dawn of humanity, our ancestors have been aware of the existence of a unique God the Creator.

My second point is that by the time we have occupied the east side of the island there was not a Dominican Republic yet. So let's not say Haiti occupied the Dominican Republic.

The "god" you're talking about brother is right on earth.

He stroke us in 1825;1914;1915;1994;and 2004 and he is just one of them but not the least.

We made a lot of mistakes but think about this factor.
