We must learn from all the mistakes that were made in Haiti.

Large nongovernmental organizations and private contractors should be hold accountable if the disbursement of all donations are not used as intended.

Also, all records of what they have done with the money should be available to the public.

We must ensure that all the funds donated to the Philippines are used to repair infrastructures and to address the needs of the survivors.

We can't allow those funds to end up in the pocket of corrupt military and civilian officials.

You said that the Haitian capital "still lacks decent roads, running water and reliable electricity, and an estimated 200,000 to 400,000 Haitians still live in tents".

Well, that's what is wrong with helping the Philippines the same way that Haiti was helped.
