This project sounds good from a business point of view. However, my concern is about the politics of this project.

There were no details as to whether La Gonave would be subjected to the government of Haiti or whether the government of Haiti is going to surrender sovereignty of the entire island.

In other words is this a purchase or lease of La Gonave?

Will there be Haitian security forces policing the island or will there be private security forces or foreign forces?

Will La Gonave be subjected to the Constitution and Laws of Haiti?

Are people going to be displaced?

Without the answers to these preliminary questions we should be skeptical because while we would like to see Haiti move forward, we do not want to see bits and pieces be sold and taken away by foreigners and corporations.

Remember the video stated Shareholder- Republic of Haiti.

This sounds like the entire island would be sold and the Haitian government would only hold shares in it. Just think about Labadie, Haiti or Guantanamo Bay Cuba and the fact that Cubans cannot even go there.
