Your Health : Eating Spinach helps Lower your Blood Pressure
Leafy greens vegetables like spinach, romaine lettuce and collard greens are high in potassium.
Potassium is a mineral and an electrolyte that helps your kidneys get rid of more sodium in your body through your urine. This in turn lowers your blood pressure.
I talk about spinach (or zepina in Haitian Creole) here because it is a vegetale that is available in great quantities in Haiti.
spinach is high in fiber and it is low in calories. Besides its high potassium content, spinach also contains folate and magnesium, other key ingredients to help lower and maintain your blood pressure.
