TPS for Haitians: New Jersey and 17 States back up Lawsuit of Trump Administration decision to end TPS
New Jersey and other 17 states are backing up a lawsuit that challenges the Trump administration's decision to end temporary protected status (TPS) for Haitians and immigrants from five other countries.

On Friday September 21, the New Jersey Attorney General's office filed an amicus brief in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York urging a federal judge to review a lawsuit filed by a group of Haitians with temporary protected status, or TPS. Attorneys representing the federal government have asked that the lawsuit be dismissed.
