Technology - Haiti is Getting an Internet Access and Voice Over IP Upgrade
On the technology side of things, MultiLink, a Haiti-based Internet service provider, has just contracted Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to deploy a new microwave radio network in Haiti. This is supposed to extend high-quality data services such as Voice over IP (VoIP) to subscribers across Haiti.
I read this on NASDAQ's web site... Se gro koze...
Multilink, is a an Internet service provider in Haiti established since 1997 (I didn't know that...) and they provide services such as Internet access, data transmission, and Voice over IP in Haiti.
If you ever make a phone call to Haiti using a calling card, Vonage or Magic Jack, you're using Voice over IP.
In the press release today it says this new microwave radio network will enables MultiLink "to roll out the transport network rapidly and address rising data traffic, while lowering operating costs, as well as allowing a more efficient use of the network."
I am trying to share this information with you without being to technical... So..
In layman's terms...
We should be expecting a much faster Internet sertice in Haiti at a lower price...
Is it lower 'an U.S.???'
Is it lower 'an GOURDE???'
Je ne pa konnen...
