It's official, Haitian-Japanese Tennis start Naomi Osaka has decided to take sole Japanese nationality over American nationality to compete for Japan on the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Osaka was born in Japan to a Japanese mother and Haitian father; however, she raised in the United States. Naomi Osaka told NHK World in an interview that she began the process of becoming a Japanese citizen.

Japanese law requires dual-nationality citizens to choose one nationality at the age of 22. Naomi Osaka will turn 22 on October 16 and she made her decision.

Haitian-Japanese tennis champion Naomi Osaka just purchased a house in Bervelly Hills California for a whopping $6.91 million.
According to TMZ, Osaka made the purchase back in early August in an off-market deal from singer Nick Jonas.

The Haitian father of US Open champion Naomi Osaka, Leonard Francois, is currently in Haiti this Friday, October 05, while Naomi is at China Open 2018.
Leonard Francois, accompanied by the Ambassador of Haiti to Japan, Marcel Duret, was greet at the airport by Sports Minister Edwing Charles.
The Haitian father of the Tennis superstar Naomi Osaka was also greeted by the Senate president, Senator Joseph Lambert.
