Drought and delay in diesel subsidy causing electricity blackouts in Haiti
There is a major blackout problem in Haiti right now because a of a delay in diesel fuel delivery and the lack or water in the Peligre Hydroelectric Dam.
According to news reports, only one generator is producing electricity at the damn causing most of the city or Port-au-Prince Haiti to be in the dark most of the time.
Of the 220 megawatts necessary to supply the capital and the surrounding areas, EDH, Haiti's electric company, currently only has 88 megawatts
