haitianinternet.com/f152/rwanda-po...The BBC reports that these Rwandan police officers are currently receiving special training for peace keeping operations.

Those selected, among the 600 being trained, will have Bachelors degree, a drivers license, and at least five years experience with the police force.

Rwanda?

Yep... The Republic of Rwanda!

Just in case you don't know exactly where Rwanda is, let me give you a heads up!

The Republic of Rwanda is located in the Great Lakes region of eastern-central Africa. It is bordered by Uganda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Tanzania.

Have you heard about the Tutsis and the Hutus?

If you've ever seen the HBO movie Sometimes In April by Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck... what a coincidence... then you probably do.

(video not available)

Rwanda gained international attention in the early 1990s when civil war erupted between two ethnic groups in Rwanda:

The Tutsis and the Hutus.

In a matter of 100 days, nearly 20% of the population were wiped out... between 500,000 and 1,000,000 people died.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the Republic of Rwanda wants to send their courageous police officers to Haiti but... I just thought you'd like to know...

So...

What do you think?

something doesn't seem right to me. Don't we have enough officers in Haiti?

We need medical supplies, nutrition need, Why do we need more police, more guns for?

Why not send some people from "Dehomey" now known as the "Republic of Benin" because that's where "We as Haitians" are

What is Rwanda Police Officers have to do with Aristide?

I suggest that you do some research, or ask others before posting messages online.

I am speechless, and it is sad. This is where we are in 2010 with some of our citizens' level of understanding, and their inabilities to even understand about the different parts of Africa.

"Sometimes in April" sounds like a sequel to "Hotel Rwanda" released just about 5 years ago..

When I saw the move - Hotel Rwanda, it reminded me so much of Haiti...

Recommended it to anyone who has not seen it.Aristide, as far as I know is in South Arica and has nothing to do with Rwanda, Aristide has money but he does not have that kind of money, Trust me, He can't bribe these people.
