Kidnapping on the rise in Haiti, what is up with that?

The other day, were head two children were kidnapped in Hinche, Haiti, of all places.

According to the Miami Herald, news of kidnapping in Haiti is scarring Haitians in the Diaspora who were planning to go to Haiti for Carnival 2020. This will definitely mean a lost in revenue for hotels and merchants who are hoping to make some money this Kanaval season.

The Miami herald also reported that the Haitian police is on the hit seat because of the rise in Haiti kidnappings being reported on social media. The news media did say they are unconfirmed reports. confirmed or not, it is affecting the country socially and emotionally.
