I overheard two teenage Haitian girls talking about love and relationships, you should hear what's on their mind

I overheard a conversation between two teenage Haitian girls and a friend of mine talking about love, dating, and relationships. You should hear what is on the mind of these girls...

Moun Damou Pa Kite - Haitian Saying...

Apparently the father of one of them, let's call her Carla, was mad at her because she was seen talking to my friend, lets call him James.

Keep in mind Carla is 16 years old and James he is 25.

Carla's father, protective of her daughter, reprimanded her because a next door neighbor saw her talking to James whom he believes is too old to be her friend.

Carla's friend, lets call her Danielle, was mad at the fact that the father would reprimand her daugther for something like that.

Danielle who is 17 claims she has been dating this guy for 4 years in her church and everybody knows about it and she believes Carla's father has no right to treat her daughter this way making her look bad and treating her like a child because she's talking to a guy.

James says the next door neighbor is a jealous Pastor who see him as a playboy. "She's a kid," he says, "I don't mess around with kids."

Carla's best friend Danielle feels she is old enough to date whomever she pleases.

Really???

I don't know what the rules are in the Dominican Republic where these two Haitians girls are growing up but where I come from it's 18 to party, 21 to drink.

What do you think about that?
