How many young Haitian-Americans care about what is happening in Haiti?

After a long week at work and all the stress of daily living, the last thing a young Haitian-American is thinking about is stupid politics happening in Haiti.

If you live in Haiti and you happen to be visiting the United States, try this as an experiment: while spending some time with a young working-class Haitian-American try not to mention Haiti in the conversation to see how many times he or she will bring it up.

They dont care!

My opinion: People like to talk about things that make them feel good. What is it about Haiti that makes anyone feel good these days? Let's be honest.

The Haitian family was not able to travel often to Haiti like other Caribbean family.

That's generally true. But there are many who care and get involved in some way, because they understand Haiti, even partly.

People tend to care about what they understand.
