According to the National Council for Food Security, there are approximately 7 million Haitians living in poverty, 3 million of these Haitians live in extreme poverty.
A poor many in the United Sates would be rich in Haiti...
In the United States the definition of poverty is any person who has an income less than $34 per day or a family of four with income less than $69 per day as calculated from the poverty threshold set by the U.S. Census Bureau.
I don't know how what the actual definition of poverty is in Haiti but I can tell you this... It is nowhere near the level of poverty in the United States.
What is the definition of Poverty in Haiti anyway?
