The BBC reports mobile phone banking is exploding in the developing world and the Bill gates and Melinda Gates Foundation will take up the service in Haiti.

More Haitians have mobile phone than bank accounts so now imagine walking into a store, or walking into a ti machann in the streets with absolutely no money except your phone.
