7 People Dead In Haiti Capital After Rainfall

Torrential rains slammed the Haitian capital yesterday and 7 people are reported dead so far.

Two of the people died in the tent city outside the Haiti presidential palace in downtown Port-au-Prince.

Three of the people died in the area of Petionville.

Houses are collapsing!

Some of the death are attributed to houses collapsing. It's been reported that two children were killed in Christ-roi after their home collapsed.

This is the worse rainfall to hit the Port-au-Prince so far this year and it is not over yet.

As of 5:50 am this morning, June 7, the weather channel reports...

Heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue in Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic), Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands as the low interacts with an old, dying frontal boundary near the islands... Flooding and mud slides are likely around the mountains.

Things are not looking good for Haiti right now and it's just the begining of the hurricane season!

Hello.

Thank you for your article.

I'm always saddened by Haiti's fortune since the earthquake.

I really hope that more help will come from international organisations.

This is so sad, I saw Haiti today on TV .The Haitians peoples have to turn to Jesus and ask for forgiveness
Aristide who was a Priest is the first one who is going to hell.,all those kidnappers, all those rara peoples
all those peoples who turned their back to Jesus are responsible for what is going on in Haiti now, sorry to tell them if they don't start to pray Jesus.

I want the Haitian people know that they
are not forgotten.

I can continue to pray for the whole nation.

I already undertake the responsability to organize a distrubution for the haitian children in

So, I will continue to pray

I can't even imagine what these people are going through mentally and physically.

They seem to just start anew and then they are hit down with something else. It's so frustrating, I wish there was more I could do to help. But for now all I can do is pray for them and let them all know that they are not forgotten by any means.

They are in my heart and soul and prayers.
