She wanted to go to the beach and enjoy a few days off hard work in New York. Instead of going to Haiti where are there exist many beautiful white sandy beaches, she decided to go to the neighboring Dominican Republic where the sun shines the same and at least it's safer.
Sure could have been at a Cotes-des- Haiti there is a very nicem all-inclusive Beach Resort Hotel there but how can she get there safely with all that insecurity in Haiti.
Too bad for the Haitian tourism industry.

This is the best news I have heard all day. Keep the diaspora out of Haiti.
This is how the coronavirus is spreading.
US students and young Haitian members of the diaspora are not listening to the warnings of their governments not to travel, thus they could be carriers of the virus and not know it. This is very selfish on the part of young people and they are putting other populations at risk for their poor choices.
