I received this picture from a young Haitian American diaspora who decided to enjoy her sunny Caribbean vacation in Boca chica, Dominican Republic when she could have been chilling in Haiti but...

She wanted to go to the beach and enjoy a few days off hard work in New York. Instead of going to Haiti where are there exist many beautiful white sandy beaches, she decided to go to the neighboring Dominican Republic where the sun shines the same and at least it's safer.

Sure could have been at a Cotes-des- Haiti there is a very nicem all-inclusive Beach Resort Hotel there but how can she get there safely with all that insecurity in Haiti.

Too bad for the Haitian tourism industry.
