PICTURE ME A WOMAN WHO WAS BORN IN HAITI, BROUGHT TO AMERICA BY MY PARENTS WHEN I WAS 3 YRS OF AGE.I GREW UP HEARING ABOUT MY COUNTRY, FALLING IN LOVE WITH MY COUNTRY.

LONGING TO GO BACK ONE DAY AND DO SOME REALLY BEAUTIFUL THINGS.

THERE WAS A TIME IN MY LIFE WHEN I WISHED THAT I WAS RAISED THERE BECAUSE I FELT LIKE I MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH OF MY CULTURE, MY PEOPLE, MY ROOTS.

I STILL LOVE HAITI AND I STILL HAVE HOPE!! IF WE ALL LOSE HOPE LOSE SIGHT THE CAUSE WILL BE ABANDONED AND FORGOTTEN.

I KNOW IT IS SO DISCOURAGING AND HURTFUL BUT DONT GIVE UP ON HAITI.

SHE IS OUR MOTHER AND LIKE A WOMAN SHE HAS "CETTE SO" LIKE I GREW UP HEARING, AND JUST BECAUSE A WOMAN HAS BEEN MISTREATED AND ABUSE BY SO MANY DIFFERENT MEN DOES NOT MEAN SHE IS A LOST CAUSE OR BAD DOES IT?

WELL "HAITI CHERIE" AP TOUJOUS CHERIE" I FEEL YOU, AND I HEAR YOU.IT HURTS!I JUST DONT THINK THAT THE PEOPLE OVER THERE GRASP THE CONCEPT OF BLOOD SWEAT AND HARD WORK. THEY THINK ITS ALL ROSES OVER HERE.THEY FEEL CHEATED, BUT DONT KNOW THAT YOU HAVE TO HAD WORKED HARD FOR SOMETHING IN ORDER TO FEEL CHEATED.THEY FEEL LIKE THE WORLD OWES THEM, BUT ITS NOT TRUE.THEY OWE THEMSELVES, BUT JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT IT.ITS A SHAME, THE IGNORANCE, NOT JUST THE POOR BUT THE RICH ALSO ARE VERY IGNORANT.

GOING TO A FANCY SCHOOL AND GETTING A DEGREE DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE EXEMPT FROM IGNORANCE!IF YOU DONT OPEN YOUR MIND AND YOUR HEART YOU BUILD A WALL OF IGNORANCE!! OUR COUNTRY IS PERISHING DUE TO IGNORANCE!LETS PRAY AND ASK GOD NOT TO TURN HIS BACK ON US, THAT IS ALL WE CAN DO FOR NOW.OK THAT ALL I HAVE TO SAY. I AM MARIE.

THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY WOODRING.
