Would you go to Haiti Carnaval 2011?

What you didn't know? There will be Canaval in Haiti this year, 2011, and YES... Sou Champs-de-Mars, a Port-au-Prince...

Did you also know that Champs-de-Mars, the central park in Haiti's capitol that is mentioned in every Haitian carnival jingle, it is now a big tent city?

Will you be in Champs De Mars this year?

There is no Champs-de-Mars now...
It's more like Champs-de-Tent!

But there will be, or should I say, there IS a carnival going on right now!

The Haitian government also issued a theme for the 2011 Haiti carnival too!

Theme Kanaval la se:
"An Celebre Lavi!" (Let us celebrate life)

Question:

Would you go to Carnaval in Haiti in 2011?

Do you see carnival in Haiti this year as a "celebration of life" like the theme suggests? or a distraction?

After all, growing up in Haiti I kept on hearing that "Ayisyen bezwen 3 B... Baton... Bouyon... Banbosh"
