Security Alert - U.S. Embassy Port-au-Prince, Haiti - May 16
Location: Route National 2 in Martissant area
Events: Reports of roadblocks and protests that are affecting Route National 2 in the Martissant area. Embassy employees are prohibited from traveling on these areas.
The Haitian media has been reporting incidents happening in that area in recent days. This passage way opens access to nearly half of the country, the entire southern peninsula deives through Martissant to get to the capital Port-au-Prince.
