They Wonder If Haitians Do That?

Salutations to Mr. Roger M. Eugene (AKA Shoubou) of the Tabou Combo Super Stars.

Salutations to Lord Kinomorsa Divers (AKA King Kino)

Thank you for taking the time to read my articles

Today, I would like to brag about one of my clients:

Mr. Marc Jean Pierre, The CEO of Members Networking Corp.

I am building his website for him:
http://www.Payment-Solutions.us

Mr. Jean Pierre came to me right around the time that I quit my job and decided to do what I do full time.

I am telling you this because I would like to prove a point.

I've been told many times, "If you want to succeed, you have to go outside of the Haitian Community"

I am so glad I didn't listen!

Marc came to me with a very complex project; he has a very unique business and he wanted to build a website for it.

Payment Solutions, Marc's Company, will pay your bills for you on time if you are short of cash and you cannot make your payment.

You can pay them back however you can. I know many people who would find this service very useful.

In any case, Marc wanted a website that will allow customers to signup online and be able to make payments online.

I didn't know how to do it but I knew that it was going to cost him a lot of money if I said no.

Just like him, I speak Creole.

Kreol pale kreol konmpran, I understood his dream and I wanted to help him realize it.

So I dove into the project without thinking how much it was worth. I worked on his site like it was one of my own.

I can't begin to tell you what I learned in the process, but this week Marc taught me something I did not expect to learn here in the Haitian community.

I am a pessimist sometimes... with all the negative vibes around me, with all the Haitians telling me constantly that "You cannot be rich by helping another Haitians, all they do is take, take, take", you have to forgive me.

I came home one day, and Marc Pierre was standing in front of my house with a white envelope.

Before he handed me the envelope, he explained to me that what I was doing for him, the honest answers I gave him when he had questions, they were worth more to him then I thought.

Marc gave me a " 4 Digit " Tip!

That's 1 digit with 3 zeros behind it, and the first digit is not a zero.

Unbelievable!

Even my mother asked me if he was Haitian!

Oh! L'Eternel! We think really about our own kind!

My friend, I didn't write this article to tell you what a big tip I got or what a great person Marc is, I just wanted to let you know that everyone knows when you are looking out for them, even if they don't mention it enough.

Don't do anyting expecting a reward, just do it because you want to. The reward will always arrive, sometimes when you least expect it.

We live in a society where it's almost wrong to tell someone "you're doing a great job"...

Paske-w sesi,
paske-w sela,
paske-w konn chante,
paske papa-w se chef,
paske po-w jòn nan
Paske-w sot petionville
Paske-w se moun lavil
Paske-w pale franse
Paske-w gen cheve siwo
Paske-w t-ale lekòl
Paske-w gen lajan

Ou panse-w s-on afè?

I heard these things all my life and I've come to this conclusion:

If you want to feel important, make other people around you feel more important than you are!

Have a great weekend

I remain confident that our people will one day realize that together we can accomplish MANY beautiful things, not to mention the prosperity unity brings...

Be blessed,
