The Haitian Army released a note: There is No confrontation between the Army and the Police
Less than one hour after news broke of a confrontation between the Haitian Army and the police, Army officials released a note to clarify that there is no confrontation between the army and the police at Champs-de-Mars.
They explained in the note that one of military soldiers guarding the Grand Quartier General was shot and injured on Sunday during clashes with hooded men. The soldiers shot in the air to protect themselves and the army headquarters.
This information was released by the military high command.
