Haiti's Tourism Sector Hit the Hardest by ongoing sociopolitical climate in the country

The month or June 2019 was just terrible for the Hotel industry in Haiti, according to an article published in a Haiti news site. Hotels in Côte des Arcadins saw a 70 percent drop in occupancy compared ot June of last year.
Hotels rooms in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area who are often 40 to 50 percent occupied dropped to 10 percent occupancy.
Haitians often say "nou gen dwa pou nou manifeste" (we have the right to protest) but when these protests become violent and a way of life, business owners and the economy pay the price one way of the other.
