Haiti Pregnancy - Do Haitian women in the Diaspora take their POT bath after doing into labor?

In Haiti, after a women goes in to labor, she takes this HOT bath called "Bain POT". It's supposed to be GOOD for you... But do Haitian women in the Diaspora do the same?

You do know that this is don't you? Haitian women boil a whole bunch of leaves after they have a baby, then they place mix in a bucket with steam coming out of it and they sit on it...

OUCH!

They swear it's good for you but I don't see doctors in the united states recommending it...

I wonder if Haitian women in the Diaspora do that as well...

If you are a Haitian woman and you don't know what I am talking about, ask your mother from Haiti, she knows what I am talking about.

Lol after I had a baby I didn't want to do this at all the whole pregnancy they were bringing this up..l I didn't know what to dread the no epidural during birth that my mom sisters and aunty scared me out of or this weird bath lol...

The bath works I have a lot of. Friends who were nice shaped and after the baby there body is like square and ugly it made a lot of my friends insecure real bad ...
