Haiti Education : School Opens September 4th 2017
The academic year 2017 will begin on September 4th in Haiti says the Ministère de l'Education Nationale et de la Formation Professionnelle. (MENFP).

All schools are supposed to open their doors on that day yet each year parents in Haiti complain about all the money they need to send their kids to school. many of them simply don't have it.

Lack of government support of schools, especially in the mountain village schools, leave the burden of education on the parents, who can barely feed their children daily.
Droughts, hurricanes certainly don't help the situation when crops are destroyed.
Parents have to make the choice of feeding their children or paying tuition.
