Cooperation and Vision, Key Ingredients for a Better Haitian Community

It's unfortunate that my knowledge and my resources are

limited but I want you to know that my goal in life is to
restore pride in every Haitian life I can touch.

Albert Einstein, one of the greatest minds of the 20th
century said that "Only a life lived in the service to
others is worth living."

I once asked God to give me more than I need and I will
share it with other people. So God gave knowledge and
passion in something that can help others.

He forgot about the money...

:)

There must be a reason for that!

The subject today is Cooperation and Vision
- = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - = - =

Vince Lombardi, American Football Coach once said "People
who work together will win, whether it be against complex
football defenses, or the problems of modern society."

I think he is absolutely right. The problems facing our
Haitian society are very simple:

Many times in our community, we forget that we have to be a
team. We fight with one another for our own personal
interests. We yell, we scream, we kick, we blame, and we do
everything but work together.

"We cannot learn from one another until we stop shouting at
one another -- until we speak quietly enough so that our
words can be heard as well as our voices."

These are the words of Richard Nixon, the thirty-seventh
President of the Unites States.

If we cooperate, we will succeed.

Some people say that Haiti will never change… that's not
true at all. The Haiti I know now is not the same Haiti I
knew when I was born.

So if you will permit me to say it, Haiti has changed a
great deal. She is a reflection of how we [Haitians] feel.

Since we do not get along, Haiti is falling apart, that's
normal!

The founder of Success Magazine, Orison Swett Marden said:
"We cannot rise higher than our thought of ourselves."

We constantly surround ourselves with the belief that we are
a failure, we think we are inferior.

Seriously!

I don't know who decided to label Haiti as the POOREST
COUNTRY in the western hemisphere but is is becoming a
cancer.

Haitians are giving up on the only thing that God gave
them... A beutiful piece of land in the heart of the only
place on earth called "PARADISE"!

How do we fix a country in ruin?

It's simple… cooperate!

Bite your tongue before you criticize somebody else. Know
that everyone is doing something right. Find out what it is.
Before you criticize him for what he is doing wrong,
congratulate him for what his doing right.

Try it, it works!

Remember what Henry Ford said:

"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is
progress, and working together is success."

In the spirit of corporation, I would like to recognize a
group of Haitian Artists who got together under the label of
Muzik Arts to produce an amazing CD project called "Atis Pou
Ayiti".

This group of Haitian Artists include Emeline Michel, Alan
Cave, Roger M. Eugene (Shoubou), Jean Elie Telfort (Cubano),
Dadou Pasquet, Iznard Douby, Harold Joseph, Beethova Obas,
Raymond Cajuste, Stanley Toussaint, Virginia Mahotiere,
Wilkinson Theodore, Rated R, King Kino, Felina Becker,
Dickson Guillaume, and many more.

They came together and they created a masterpiece!

You can see the snapshots of their video "sonje ayiti" here:

You can also watch the video online and find out how they
did it by going to their official website

http://www.atispouayiti.com

They say Haitians cannot get along...

It is a lie, we're doing it already, we just need to do it a
little bit more.

There are examples of cooperation all around you.
Cooperation is a concept, you can apply it to anything you
do in life
