Backup Power in Haiti - Power inverters and deep cycle batteries

What do you do in Haiti when suddenly the light goes out and there is no electricity?

Unless you have a power inverter an some deep cycle batteries to store energy for when you need it, you, my friend, are in the dark. 'Ou nan blackout', the famous word in matters of electricity and power in Haiti.

Backup power is a very important thing to have in country like Haiti where electricity is not available on a 24-hour basis. The current government is working to change that but, still, you gotta have some kind of energy reserve at least to keep the lights running in case of electricity blackout.

Automatic Power Inverter/Chargers made in the Dominican Republic - Why can't we make them in Haiti?

Talk about a business opportunity in Haiti, I do not notice a lot of power inverter/chargers and recycled deep cycle batteries for sale in Haiti while in many cities and small towns in the neighboring Dominican Republic, you will find at least one store that that make cheap and new Automatic Power Inverter/Chargers.

This is a great business opportunity, don't you think?

Not everyone can afford to to to Valerio Canez and dish out hundred of dollars U.S. to buy big brand power inverters and brand new Trojan deep cycle batteries.

People with economic problems in Haiti need backup power too. Right?

backup power is something that people in the lower middle class and the poor don't really have access to and no one seems to be taking advantage of that.

So I think it would be a great business opportunity to fix and resell old power inverters and deep cycle batteries especially now that Haitians are more energy conscious.

Hey... Big businessmen in Haiti, why not import the parts? why not start a new business model in Haiti where young Haitians can buy parts and build inverter/chargers to resell to the people. This type of business is all over the Dominican Republic.
