I literally was in between airplane-ticket purchase for south-central America for places like Panama, Costa-Rica, Uruguay, Nicaragua in search of warm - affordable- soft --sandy beaches, Brazil was on top of the list...

I was even considering land purchase for winery business in Argentina.

Why not?

land is relatively cheap, locals are very friendly, knowledgeable and have a true love for farming.

Argentinian wine is marketable locally and internationally.

A turn-key operation is definitely possible.

As a true Haitian, everything stopped on January 12th. As a true Haitian, the cold weather does not seem that intolerable,,,after all, As a true Haitian, Haiti and its future became a focal point.

As a true Haitian, I mourned with my people.

As a true Haitian, I tried to help in any way that I possibly can. As a true Haitian, the international communities who are trying to help my people became my friends...As a true Haitian, ONLY those who are trying to help got my attention.

As a true Haitian, I am ALL GROWN-UP; As a true Haitian, my territorial independence was some 200 odd years ago. As a Haitian, I reserved the right NOT to repay France, these so-called 21 billions dollars were somewhat promulgated by the French unilaterally..As a true Haitian, I understand that I could have renegotiated the terms of payments with the French.

As a true Haitian, I did not have to agree with the terms and conditions with France, BUT I did. As a true Haitian, I understand hardships since I traveled to "so many rivers".

As a true Haitian, I understand that ONLY I owned Haiti's problems, not my neighbors, not my friends and certainly not my ex-oppressors of 2 (two) centuries ago. As a true Haitian, I believe that it is my duty to collaborate with other Haitians and foreign nations who are working with me for the betterment of my Country.

As a true Haitian, I DO UNDERSTAND, the financial sacrifices that other nations, specifically, the US, are making in order to get me out from under the mess that I am in. (estimated at 40% of US budget for natural disasters) If Haiti is getting 40% of that money -- It is quite impressive!!! As a true Haitian, I want to thank everyone involves in reconstructing Haiti.

As a true Haitian, I want to believe that never again will I be in the same situation!!! As a true Haitian, I want to think that national budgeting and preventative measures will be taken to ensure my safety and my growth, as I learned bitterly that I have to elect competent leaders based on skills and experiences, not on personal preferences...

( National- Leadership skills is BUSINESS, not personal).

As a true Haitian, I am forever indebted to the REAL PEOPLE, the faceless brothers who were fighting at the forefront on the eve of INDEPENDENCE day, the Haitians who helped other nations fought injustice shoulders to shoulders on foreign battlefields so that I can be proud of my heritage; To the nameless, faceless brothers who wittingly or unwittingly left the countrysides by the truckloads to Port-Au-Prince under the dictatorship of "Papa Doc" (late 50's) in the promise of a better life;To the very same brothers once arrived in Port-Au-Prince faced homelessness, hunger, crowded public schools, or no schooling.

As a true Haitian, I strongly sympathized with the brothers who were creating jobs, helping in education, health care, building communities but had to leave Haiti under real or perceived national threats since 1957 and on....

As a true Haitian, I understand that my Country is multicultural and bilingual, As a true Haitian, I learned to appreciate and respect everyone, including Rene Preval.

As a true Haitian, I know that no one was born with money or education; miseducation is a sign of social injustice not individual character.

As a true Haitian, I can't help hoping that Haiti will get a fair shake in the near future.
