I have been to Labadee on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

It is not like the other beaches in Haiti.

Royal Caribbean has special interests which is the reason why they take such good care of the place.

The question remains, is Labadee belongs to Royal Caribbean or does it belong to Haiti.

Do we know for sure what deal was made between Haiti and Royal Caribbean?

Why would anyone think Labadee belongs to Haiti at this moment?

The $6 tax mentioned by negbelair may be true...but think of it this way, we pay tax for all purchases made in the US. The $6 tax that RC is paying is for the purchase of Labadee by Royal Caribbean from Haiti.

The purchase may have a 50 years term, but for the time being Labadee belongs to Royal Caribbean until the expiration of the deal.
