Trying to take a count of people with the coronavirus in Haiti is like trying to thread a needle with a camel.

First of all two-thirds of the population live in the mountains.

The government is clueless regarding the mountain people.

They provide no services to them, there's little or no medical personnel that even go into the mountains.

This population thought, go into the crowded marketplaces everyday to sell their vegetables and buy what they need. If one person infected with the virus is in that market, where they are literally on top of each other, than the virus will be rampant.

There will be little or no testing, and you can rest assured it will be the wealthy who will be tested.

So the reality will be that a large part of the population will get infected and many will die. This pandemic could suffer a loss of people equal to that of the 2010 earthquake.

Haiti cannot catch a break.

This is the sad reality ofa country that just can't avoid natural disasters, and now a health disaster.
