I absolutely agree, to a point.

From my non-Haitian, outside perspective; it has always appeared to me that Haitians have a habit of voting for the person who tell them the best lie with no regard for actual experience or ability.

For example, Michel Martelly.

Then, when things (predictably) don't go well, their response is to root, loot, and drive away the very people who are helping to sustain the country.

What is accomplished by driving away the people who contribute money to the economy, provide medical care and build homes/churches/schools?

And then, when they're finished trashing the neighborhood and alienating their benefactors they still have to live there.

Rebellion must be organized and meaningful, and should in no way target foreigners or their interests.

To do that would bring almost certain intervention from an international military force.
