This is the same Duvalier that stole hundreds of millions of dollars from Haiti's treasury.

This is the same Duvalier that had a state-sponsored US$2 million wedding in 1980, while poverty among Haitians remained the most widespread of any country in the Western Hemisphere.

This is the same Duvalier that squandered millions of Haitian money in Paris, France, on a lavish lifestyle of jewelry, chateaus, fancy cars and a very expensive divorce from his ex-wife.

This is the same Duvalier that was listed as "as one of the World's Most Corrupt Leaders" by the 2004 Global Transparency Report.

This is the same Duvalier that in February 2010 was the recipient of 4 millions dollars of ill-gotten money by a Swiss court.

This is the same Duvalier that still has $4 million frozen in an account in Switzerland.

Jean Claude Duvalier was an oppressor of the Haitian people, a murderer, a thief.

It is a damn shame that Haitian President Michel Martelly took to Twitter to express his condolences to Duvalier's family.
