Smartphone LCD Screens cost TOO MUCH to replace, don't they?

If you have just purchased a new smartphone, whatever you do, DO NOT drop it... God forbid you break the screen, replacing it is almost like buying a new smartphone.
Look... The new Samsung Galaxy S8 Smartphone

I bought a new unlocked smartphone for the equivalent of $125 US in the Dominican Republic. Guess how much it is to replace the LCD Screen after I accidentally broke it?

I walk into the Palisades Mall in Nyack New York to find out how much it would cost to replace the screen. To my surprise, the price to replace the broken screen for my ancient Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone is $120 US...

Talk about "disposable," the smartphone screen costs almost as much as the phone itself.

So what do I do, Buy another phone or replace the screen?

What do you think about that?
