Do you have a room for rent?
Do you have an apartment for rent?
Now there is a place you can post it for FREE!

I figured if promoters post their events for FREE on
belfet.com then why not help the landlords a little bit?

From the Desk of Woodring Saint Preux

Is it wrong to help?

This week I don't want to impose myself on you. I would
like to ask you a question; I would like to get your opinion
on something.

Question: Is it wrong to help?

Do we create enemies when we help other people?

Let me give you an example:

Let's say you have a big heart and you like to give. What
happens if you are giving something away that others are
selling?

Would this be perceived as "taking money out of their
pockets?"

I have another question:

If you had the opportunity to provide electricity to Haiti
would you do it?

There are some people in Haiti who are making huge profits
selling power inverters, batteries, Kerosene lamps, and
generators to the public.

How do you think these people would welcome the idea of
"you" providing electricity to the public and literally
annihilating their inverter and battery business?

If they can pay a hungry man to kill you, do you think they
would?

If they can bribe the powers that be to make you run, hit
the road jack, and don't you come back no more no more no
more no more… do you think they would?

But all you wanted to do is help. Is that so wrong?

Now I come back to the original question: Is it wrong to
help?

If something needs to be fixed, it is wrong to fix it when
others benefit while it's broken?

If something needs to be done, it is wrong to do it when
others benefit while it was being ignored?

I would love to hear your take on this.

Please post it here:

Carmel S. Victor says...

It's never wrong to help, as long as a person's intentions are good. Meanning, as long as the person doesn't have a hidden agenda to manipulate others through that help. For example, someone helps you get something, only because they know they will benefit from that something, not because they genuinely wanted to help your situation get better.

I believe that when you help others, you're sowing seeds for yourself and your children/family.

I'd say, as long as your intentions are good, regardless of "the powers that be" we shouldn't allow evil to deter us from helping others, for God is greater and will deal with situations
