Haiti OVERTHROWN

If we take a quick look at the list of Haitian presidents since 1804, one of the most popular word in that list is the word... "OVERTHROWN"

Once and for all, let me define this word for my Haitian People. Understand this word and you will understand where Haiti - our country - is going.

W - wonderful
N - nation

Sometimes we have to examine the past. The past does not only tell us where we have been, That is not the only purpose of the past.

Every moment in the past is a reference point that tells you where you are NOW and where you are going.

Here is an Example:

On December 23rd 1999, on the eve of my birthday, I found myself stuck in Orlando, FL.

I was 1,500 miles away from home and I didn't have a red cent.

So I pawned my 24 karat gold chain to put gas in my car.

That's my past, That's one of my reference points.

Everytime I go back to revisit that moment, it reminds me that I got work to do.

Every time I look at my kids, I know that I must NEVER let that happen again.

There are things in our Haitian History that we must never let happen again if we want our children catch the global EVOLUTION wave.

There are mistakes in our Haitian past that we must never repeat again if what we really want is PEACE and PROSPERITY.

As I take a look at our Haitian past, I realise that we have been repeating the same mistakes OVER and OVER and OVER AGAIN!

I have a feeling that where we are is not where we want to be.

I have a feeling that where we are going is not where we ought to be heading.

Maybe the answer lies in the past...

Take a look...

Try not to hold the book upside down...

Take a good look.
