Haiti Family Planning - More Haitian men turned up for a Vasectomy campaign than the organizers expected

When it comes to birth control in Haiti, a vasectomy is not common practice among Haitian men. That's why a group of doctors were so surprised when a Haiti vasectomy campaign drew more men they they expected.

What is a Vasectomy? Some Haitian men want to know...

The vasectomy campaign in question in Haiti was offered as part of an outreach event for men, supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and conducted by a health clinic run by the Association for the Promotion of the Haitian Family, also known as Profamil.

They were hoping to reach 25 men. The organizers were stunned when over 100 people registered, much more than they expected.
