Haiti Earthquake, A Picture That Says It All

Every once in a while you see a picture that makes you think. I just received a Haiti earthquake picture from my friend Cathia and I kept on looking at it and thinking... If this person is smiling then what is your reason for being sad?

Here is the picture...

A man is laying on a mattress in the middle of the road in Haiti...

Everything around him is destroyed by the earthquake...

And...

He is just laying there, smiling.. and playing with his baby...

Wow!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but the smile on this photo is worth a whole lot more...

I just wish I knew the name of the photographer who took this picture. If you do please let me know.

Here is the caption I received with this "Picture of the Month" from who is, by the way, a Haitian filmmaker, the director of the Haitian movie :

The most beautiful picture I've ever seen in my life.

Salut, je suis au USA cette photo est vraiment belle, et voila une personne qui vie.Tous les pouvoirs de l'univers déjà en vous, c'est vous qui vous êtes caché les yeux avec mains.Vous vous plaignez, chachez qu'autour de vous il n'est pas de ténèbres.

Otez les mains devant vos yeux et la lumière paraitra, qui était là de doute eternité ''Mr.Yverlens''
