Haiti - Drivers License and Passports are not Commodities, Govt Reply to Tax Hike

There has been so much complaint in Haiti regarding a recent tax hike especially on the price to renew drivers licenses and passports... The government replies, these things are NOT Commodities...

Haiti communication minister Jean Mario Dupuy told the Haitian media this tax increase is a way for the state to better serve the population; however, this decision came around the same time the government decided to give ministers and secretaries of states a nice bonus in the millions before the end of the Martelly administration.
