The cover reads: "Pi gwo travay nan yon demokrasi, se travay chak gran sitwayen"

That means: "The biggest duty in a democracy, it is the duty of each citizen"

Very intersting concept dont you think?

We keep on waiting for the Haitian government to fix Haiti for us when in reality, it is each and everyone of us, as Haitian citizens, who must perform our civic duties... Only in performing our civic duties will Haiti be 'fixed' collectively.

There is no magic trick and... NO my friend...
Se pa BLAN... Ni se pa Gouvenman...

Se mwen... Se ou...

GID Sitwayen, a Haiti Citizen training guide on fundamentals of citizen participation in democracy, was published by The National Democratic Institute NDI in 2004.

This the first time I heard of it, so I am sharing the info with you.

I must admit... it is very interesting reading.

- Wow what beautiful ptotrairs.

I'm just starting my photography adventure, and haven't adventured into ptotrairs yet. I feel like I need to get my skill set much more solid prior to asking people to let me take their photo; I want to be able to capture their beauty, as you have done

This is the best initiative to explain civic duties to Haiti that I have seen so far. It has inconsistencies and did not take into account present political scenarios and political games. But the intent was great especially coming from America as principal players in explaining to us what democracy is all about.

It is one of its kind and is a great beginning, the information is generic and could be applicable to any third world country.
